DePaul Opens $40 Million Science Building

DePaul University and the Collage of Liberal Arts and Sciences opened the new Monsignor Andrew J. McGowan Science Building on January 5, 2009.

The St. Vincent de Paul mural in the background, which graces the wall of the new science building, is composed of 6-inch-square images of science students at work. Artist Mary Jeon (LAS ’08) created the giant 26-x-24 portrait of DePaul’s patron saint with the guidance of Brother Mark Elder, C.M., adjunct art professor and university public art coordinator at DePaul.
