Susan Elizabeth received her B.A. from the University of Illinois and her M.A. from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology (ISPP), now known as Argosy University. After ten years of working in the social services field, she developed a passion for teaching. She teaches American Sign Language (ASL) at all levels. In addition to teaching, Susan Elizabeth is a linguistic research assistant at the University of Chicago. She is also nationally certified and a state licensed ASL interpreter.
In addition to ASL, she also cherishes Lengua de Señas Mexicana (LSM) to communicate with her deaf family and friends in Mexico. She hopes to have deaf children someday! Her proud moments are when students graduate from DePaul University educated with a deep respect for Deaf culture and Deaf community.
