Study Arabic in the home of one of the largest Arab populations in the U.S.

Arabic language, literature and culture are more important than ever on the global stage. DePaul’s flexible master’s in Arabic provides a customizable curriculum to help you develop advanced linguistic and cultural expertise.

The program may be completed in two years. Core courses are offered in the evenings, while most elective courses are offered in the afternoon/evening.

Engage locally, think internationally

As a master’s in Arabic student, you’ll complete a service-learning requirement at one of Chicago’s cultural organizations, like the Center for Arabic Language and Culture and the Chicago Cultural Alliance.

Application Deadlines

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, though we encourage you to submit materials at least two months prior to the quarter in which you wish to enroll.

Admission Requirements

Submit an online application, language proficiency test scores, letters of recommendation, letters of application, and complete an interview with a faculty member in our Arabic program.
