SOC 398/498 Course Description

Students participating in Sociology's Internship Program must be concurrently enrolled in SOC 398 (undergraduate) or SOC 498 (graduate) while completing their internship. The internship course is designed to integrate the academic curriculum with supervised work experience in both the public and private sectors.  Students will use a sociological lens to understand the dynamics of work.  The course will enable students to understand their internship experience as it relates to broader social factors, unpack the dynamics of organizational structures, and assist students in career decision-making.
