MDRN Governance

Vision
More effective urban planning through architectural design review

Mission Statement
To educate and assist municipalities and design professionals in conducting
more effective design review through development of best practices and
procedures with the ultimate goal of improving the design quality of
individual structures and the built environment.

In Principle
Members believe that design review can be a valuable and effective process if
conducted in an objective, fair and legal manner which respects both individual
property rights and community interests.

In Practice
Individual architectural projects should be considered in context, regardless of
architectural style, based on the proposition that economic vitality and
community stability is best sustained by a coherent, physical framework.
