Programs

The department offers a Bachelor of Arts degree as well as a minor. Students work with an advisor to choose among a number of different concentrations, inlcuding Middle Eastern Islam, Women in Islam, Islam in the Balkans, Islam in the United States, Islam in World Politics and an individually constructed concentration. The interdisciplinary nature of our program allows students  to take classes in a number of different departments including history, religious studies, political science, international studies, modern languages, women's studies, and more. Students are also strongly encouraged to double major.
