Center for Latino Research

The Center for Latino Research recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, to renew its commitment to promoting and opening dialogue between the community and DePaul University, through event planning, studies and oral histories, special speakers and exhibits.  The Center is dedicated to the creation of research opportunities for scholars, works to provide avenues to workshops and collaborations.  The Center publishes an annual journal, Diálogo, and awards three Faculty Fellowships each year DePaul faculty.  Presentations by Fellows, as well as the Center's annual Open House and all speaker events, are open to students, faculty, and the public.  The Center sponsors an annual forum, Current Issues in Latino USA, and helps organize the ongoing Celebración de Nuestra América Series.  Center staff and Steering Committee believe in continually partnering with community organizations and other entities to advance knowledge of Latino issues in the United States and Latin America.
