Blackboard

Blackboard is one of a growing number of electronic course management systems that encourage interaction between students and faculty; students and students. Blackboard incorporates web pages, email, discussion boards, chat rooms, small group areas, online quizzes, an online grade book, document sharing, and more to create an online learning environment.

The MALS/IDS Community Blackboard Site contains features such as Announcements, Discussion Board, Communication, and Digital Dropbox.

Once students are formally enrolled in MALS or IDS, they will have access to our program Blackboard site.

Career Center

DePaul’s Career Center offers career transition seminars, designed especially with the needs of adult learners in mind.

Library Research Workshops

The MALS program has made a special effort to integrate hands-on library research workshops into its core curriculum, helping students feel confident as they use computer data bases in DePaul’s library. In addition the program has developed introductory materials on the use of the library which we will offer to our new students.
