Welcome to DePaul University’s School of Public Service Web site.

Founded in 1970, the Public Service Graduate Program has prepared students for meaningful and successful careers in nonprofit organizations and government agencies for the last 40 years.  Because of its growth and prominence, the program became the School of Public Service (SPS) in 2007.

Today, SPS offers seven graduate degree programs, short-term study abroad courses in 10 countries, and several academic and professional education certificate programs. The mission of SPS is to educate women and men to be effective public service leaders in the global community, guided by the values of St. Vincent de Paul.

Our students and faculty share the goals of improving others’ lives and working for the betterment of society. With curricula that focus on critical thinking, ethics, policy analysis and communication, the students gain practical management skills that prepare them for dynamic careers in public service.
