Dana Demeter is the Director of the American Sign Language program at DePaul University. Dana, a native user of ASL, obtained her M.A. in Sign Language Education from Gallaudet University. She is nationally certified through the American Sign Language Teachers Association. Dana specializes in university level education, working with students who are learning ASL as a second language. Her goal is to infuse students with a passion for learning ASL while placing a strong emphasis on the value of understanding both, the language and Deaf culture together. She teaches ASL at all levels with a focus on conversation regulators, linguistics and classifiers.

In her free time Dana enjoys being active, exploring the outdoors and traveling. ​
