Jessica Martino

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Jessica Martino completed a BA in French at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1997). During her undergraduate studies, she also received a Certificate in Political Studies from the Institut d’Études Politiques in Aix-en-Provence, France (1996). After teaching in France for several years and becoming a French citizen through naturalization, she returned to Chicago to earn an MEd (2004) and an MA in French from the University of Illinois at Chicago (2007). Jessica specializes in second language acquisition at the basic and intermediate levels via a communicative pedagogy.

In addition to being a Francophile, she is a self-avowed film enthusiast with a Certificate in the Language of Film from the University of Chicago’s Graham School (2013).
