Eugene Sampson

Eugene Sampson has a Master of Fine Arts in Literary Translation from the University of Iowa, where he learned to view the act of translation as a creative process in its own right. His translations from the German have appeared in the print anthologies Contemporary Austrian Literature (volume 74 of The German Library series, Continuum International Publishing) and Essayists on the Essay: Four Centuries of Commentary (University of Iowa Press), as well in the online journals Words Without Borders, The Quarterly Conversation, and 91st Meridian.
