Deborah Hodges

Deborah Hodges holds a masters in Interdisciplinary Studies from DePaul University and has an undergraduate degree in organizational communication from  North Central College with an emphasis on leadership and ethics.  She is involved in various organizations in leadership and communications roles such as International Academy of Dispute Resolution (INADR), Court-Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), abused and neglected children; United Way, Catholic Charities, and others.  Even as an undergraduate student, she was interested in leadership, communication, mediation, and how it  can a  make a difference in business, communities and organizations.  She put it into practice by acting as a student mediator with the Dispute Resolution Center at North Central College during her undergraduate years and her research. Afterwards, she was on the Diocese of Joliet-Peace and Social Justice Commission (1994-2000), obtained a leadership certificate, two-year program, and supported projects in the US and Tacna, Peru. She currently teaches "Strategic Communication - Developing Leadership and Peace" by applying strategic communication principles when engaging leadership opportunities in communities, organizations, and business.
