New Books

Professor Michael Budde is the editor of two new books (published by Wipf and Stock Publishers):

  • Beyond the Borders of Baptism:  Catholicity, Allegiances, and Lived Identities
  • New World Pope:  Pope Francis and the Future of the Church

Distinguished Faculty

Professor Wayne Steger has been named as one of this year's "Honors Program Distinguished Faculty."  This award recognizes faculty who have demonstrated their commitment to the University Honors Program through their expertise in the classroom, their dedication to Honors students, and their contributions to the Honors scholarly community.

DePaul Model U.N. Students

Ten of our Model U.N. students participated in the InterGen MUN conference on November 5th. The following students won awards: Bella Chapman, Mustafa Mansoor, Tim Hopps, Simone Jaros, and Ana Eganova. DePaul Mock Trial Teams

March 2, 2017
The team finished in 6th place at the Regional Tournament held in Columbus, Ohio on February 11-12.  Emma Landry and Juliana Arruda won Best Attorney awards and Juliana also won a Best Witness award.  The team will advance to the Opening Round Championship Series to be held in Hamilton, Ohio in March.

The team finished in 4th Place (out of forty teams) at the Loras Mock Trial Invitational competition held in January.  Emma Landry and Narmin Hasanova earned Best Witness Awards.

Juliana Arruda and Jacob Vurpillat won Best Attorney and Best Witness awards, respectively, at the University of Illinois Mock Trial Invitational.

The DePaul Mock Trial Team won 2nd Place at the Illinois State University Invitational tournament in Bloomington, Illinois.   The team consisted of Emma Landry, Timothy Arnold, Juliana Arruda, Mary Erskine, Alana Svyatsky, Danielle Hurley, Adam Jaster, Mike Lewani, and Jailene Leyva.  In addition, Timothy Arnold won a Best Witness award.
