Paisly Kauth, GISP, is an
instructor for DePaul’s Master of Arts in Sustainable Urban Development
(MASUD) program for which she teaches a course in Brownfields Redevelopment.
She has a master’s degree in Geography and Environmental Studies from Northeastern
Illinois University (NEIU) with a graduate certificate in GIS. Her research
interests include GIS, cartography, East Asia, and urban geography. She is
a member of the Association of American Geographers (AAG), the Illinois GIS
Association (ILGISA), the Society of Woman Geographers (SWG), the Illinois
Geographical Society (IGS), the Japan America Society of Chicago (JASC), and
Federally Employed Women (FEW). She is the GIS Coordinator for the Region
5 Office of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Her duties include
providing GIS training in the Region, leading the GIS support team for
emergency response, and coordinating geospatial activities in the Region.
