STRC fellows composing the second cohort will study topics of Peruvian culture, Mexican neighborhoods in Chicago, narratives of asylees, and developing and managing archival collections.
STRC fellowships support research in the humanities as a source of justice and healing for communities historically shaped by, and continuously facing, racism, violence and dispossession.
Students selected for the program will experience a weeklong course focused on topics of racial and social justice.
LAS humanities collaborative receives nearly $2 million from the Mellon Foundation.
