Building a community of scholars
The STRC is dedicated to building a diverse community of scholars by supporting interdisciplinary humanities research that promotes cultural resiliency, anti-racism, anti-violence, and healing within both the academy and communities of color. Collaborative events and fellowships for faculty and students provide the time, space, and intellectual community necessary for advancing this objective.
Our 2026 theme—The Art of Change—will provide a focal point for STRC activities in 2026, including a Summer Institute for incoming DePaul students, quarterly convenings, and a fall conference.
