Our nine Chaddick Scholar candidates bundled and braved the frigid weather for a day trip to Chicago’s South Side. The contingent checked out DePaul’s Wintrust Arena, the Illinois Institute of Technology’s historic S. R. Crown Hall Building, and several of the small businesses housed at The Plant, which is a center focusing on sustainable food production on 46th Street. The Saturday outing, conducted entirely on Chicago Transit Authority and Metra buses and trains, ended with a group dinner in Chinatown, which sparked a lively conversation.

Mixer at the Transportation Research Board Conference
A group of twelve students and professionals from around the United States attended our Transportation Research Forum mixer at the Transportation Research Board annual meeting in Washington, DC organized by the Chaddick team.  The DePaul delegation included students Abby Mader, Allison Woodward, and Carrie Craig, and recent alumni Trevor Roberts, as well as Professor Schwieterman.
