Chanting with Sufis and Benedictines

On Feb. 8, 2011, the Center for Interreligious Engagement had the honor of hosting two amazing groups as part of our ongoing Meditation and Interreligious Engagement Series.

The evening focused on Chanting with Sufis and Benedictines. In the photos, representing the Sufi tradition is Shayk Abdur Rashied and members of the al-Haqqani Community Center in Chicago. Also in the photos is the Benedictine Schola Cantorum of St. Procopius from Lisle, Ill., led by Fr. Julian von Duerbeck. It was a wonderful evening of sacred music and community building.
