Casey Harris

​​Casey is an Adjunct Professor in the Criminology Department at DePaul University. She is a PhD Candidate in Criminology, Law, and Justice at UIC in which she does quantitative and qualitative research. Her research focuses on sexual assault broadly with specific interests in mental health outcomes for survivors, sexual assault prevention, multiple perpetrator sexual assault, and media representations of crime and victimization. Casey’s research interests are influenced by her years as a victim advocate and community educator as well as her educational background in Psychology (BA), Prevention Science (M.Ed.), and Criminology (M.A). Through her advocacy, she has publicly spoken out against gender-based violence and was a volunteer responder to survivors of sexual violence. 

In her free time, Casey enjoys reading, spending time with her cat Luna, and learning about sharks.
