In November 2024, Sean retired from the Chicago Police Department as a Deputy Chief with 30 years of law enforcement service. During his career, Sean held several positions, including Commander in the Office of Constitutional Policing and Reform, Bureau of Patrol Commander, Acting General Counsel in the Office of Legal Affairs, and Commanding Officer of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Unit. He earned a PhD and Master of Science in values-driven leadership from Benedictine University, a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Oklahoma, and a Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago. Sean is also a lifelong Chicagoan (Southside - the best side of town) and a proud DePaul Blue Demon (Accounting, 1991).
