The LAS Honors Convocation for 2024 will be held on Wednesday, May 22nd, at 5:30pm at the St. Vincent de Paul Parish, 1010 West Webster Avenue, Chicago, IL., 60614, with a reception to follow in the DePaul Student Center located at 2250 North Sheffield Avenue, Chicago, IL., 60614. More information will be forthcoming from the Office of the Dean and through the College’s academic departments.

Students should arrive between 4:30pm-5:15pm to check-in at the vestibule on Webster Avenue.
Please see the parking map here. Unless you have a valid parking tag, you may not park in any of the ground lots. Some on-street parking is available, but parking in one of the two parking structures is recommended.
All visitors coming to campus can park their vehicle in the Sheffield Parking Garage located at 2331 N. Sheffield or Clifton Parking Deck located at 2330 N. Clifton. The DePaul rate will be given if a validated ticket is presented to the attendant. Parking validation machines are located throughout campus including Student Center 1st floor, SAC, Commons, and Richardson Library. There will also be vouchers available at the event.
Yes, ramps are located at both the Sheffield Ave. and Webster Ave. entrances.
Students can sit anywhere. Students may sit with their parents/guests.
Students may bring as many guests as they like. Guests should enter the church and be seated while the awardee checks in.
The program will run for approximately for one hour and 30 minutes.
Business casual attire is requested.
Honor award recipients will be called to the stage [altar] to receive his or her award. Please remain standing on the stage, with your class, to receive applause. Departmental awardees will be called on stage and awarded by a representative from their respective department or program. Students listed under college, departmental and program award will be called on stage and awarded.
The reception is a buffet of appetizers with vegetarian/vegan options and sweets.

On the afternoon of Wednesday, May 24, 2023, the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences held its annual Honors Convocation celebrating students for their academic achievements in a gathering of students, families, friends, and faculty at the St. Vincent de Paul Parish, located at DePaul University's Lincoln Park Campus. During the ceremony, students were individually recognized for the following achievements and awards: Dean's Award for Scholastic Excellence, by year; Outstanding Senior Award, by academic department; and various college and departmental scholarships and awards. At the conclusion of the ceremony, students and their guests were invited to a reception in their honor in the Student Center.
