Jacqui Shine is a writer and historian. Jacqui holds a PhD in U.S. history from the University of California, Berkeley, a B.A. in American Studies from Smith College, and a certificate in nonfiction writing from the Maine College of the Arts/Salt Institute. Jacqui's work has appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Slate, The Atlantic, The Boston Review, and The Awl, among other places.
