Dr. Sharon Guan teaches Chinese language classes in the Modern Languages department. She treats her class as a place to implement emerging technology and innovative teaching strategies that she has been promoting among faculty in her other role as the director of Faculty Instructional Technology Services (FITS) at DePaul.
Sharon received her undergraduate degree in International Journalism from Beijing Broadcasting Institute (China Media University) and her master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Curriculum, Instruction and Educational Technology from Indiana State University.
She has nearly 20 years of experiences in the fields of language instruction, eLearning, instructional design and faculty development. She has published and presented research papers on learning science, course design, methodologies for language instruction, ePortfolio and faculty development.
