Yvonne has always been interested in the process of learning and particular language acquisition. She received a B.Sc. and M.Ed. in Secondary Education with a concentration in Teaching English, Geography and German as a Second Language from Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena, Germany in 2017. She is professionally licensed as a teacher in the state of Lower Saxony, Germany and holds a Professional Educator License (PEL) for Secondary Schools from the state of Illinois.
In 2018, she published her book project “Visiotype: Reflexive Bilderarbeit im Geographieunterricht”. Shortly after that, she moved to Chicago, where she has been working in the field of teaching German as a Second Language to middle and high school students as well as adult learners.
