Daniela Cavallero received a
Laurea in Lingue e Letterature Straniere from the
Università degli Studi di Pavia (Italy) and a Master in Italian from the University of Chicago. In addition she holds a DITALS certification from the
Università per Stranieri di Siena. Her interests include Italian language pedagogy, Renaissance women poets, women and gender studies, and cross-cultural studies. Daniela is very active in the Chicago community and the profession; she is the founder and president of the private language school
Sentieri italiani and a reader for the AP Italian Language and Culture Exam. At DePaul Daniela teaches Italian language and culture at all levels, the CILS examination preparation course, and a popular course on Italian American culture in the First Year Program.
