​​​​The Center for Latino Research helps sponsor artistic exhibits, film series, poetry and dramatic events in Spanish, conferences and events in conjunction with various entities at DePaul and in the community. These include ongoing participation in the series, Celebración de Nuestra América, co-sponsored annually with the Department of Latin American and Latino Studies; the annual Poetry Festival, "Poesía en Abril," held at DePaul and community venues during April each year (organized by Women's and Gender Studies and Spanish professor Rocío Ferreira); Latino film events on campus; events organized by the Center for Intercultural Programs (CIP); oral history projects pursued by community groups and in conjunction with regional universities; and research projects through IUPLR partnership.
