Through our programming, the Humanities Center serves university faculty, staff, students and the greater Chicago community. In addition to providing resources and programming to enrich faculty teaching and research, the center offers students the opportunity to explore their intellectual interests and to make links between their studies and the larger world. Our programs also foster connections and dialogue between humanities scholars from a variety of disciplines and our local communities, including artists, activists, public policy makers and persons engaged in a broad array of humanistic endeavors outside the academy.
