On Dec. 1, HumanitiesX was joined by a new staff member, Deborah Siegel-Acevedo. Deborah will assume the role of HumanitiesX Coordinator and will assist with program development, operations, budget, communications, and program evaluation.

The OpEd Project’s Public Voices Fellowship program for faculty and staff at DePaul and coaches the speakers for TEDxDePaulUniversity.
As the HumanitiesX Coordinator, Deborah will play a key role in the launch and success of HumanitiesX. She will help to design and support the HumanitiesX fellows’ learning community; manage the Collaborative’s operations and budget; coordinate communications and publicity to amplify the accomplishments of the Collaborative; and assist with the evaluation of the program’s impact and outcomes. "Deborah brings so much relevant experience to HumanitiesX," said HumanitiesX Director, Professor Lisa Dush. "I am looking forward to working with and learning from her."
Deborah received her PhD in English and American literature from the University of Wisconsin is an adjunct professor at DePaul.
