Dr. Neiger teaches GIS, spatial analysis techniques, and crime mapping. Before coming to DePaul, Dr. Neiger taught GIS, spatial analysis, crime mapping, urban geography, economic geography, and the geography of religion for 13+ years at Elmhurst University. Prior to his academic career, he worked with CAD and GIS applications in both the public and private sectors for over 25 years and has presented on these topics at local, national, and international conferences. Dr. Neiger's research interests include spatial statistics, visualization of spatial data, urban ethnic and racial residential patterns, and the geography of religion. He also maintains a consulting practice with clients that include local government agencies, regulated utilities, and application developers.
