Frederic Kopp earned his M.A. (1992) and Ph.D. (2001) in history from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has taught undergraduate history courses at DePaul University for over twenty years (World History courses HST 111/112/113, and European History courses HST 171/172/173/216). He has also been teaching a variety of other history courses at Columbia College Chicago and Lewis University, as well as German language courses at the University of Chicago. His main areas of research interest are Modern Germany (particularly post-1945 youth culture and music) and Modern Europe (19th/20th century politics and society).
