The Department of History offers an
undergraduate degree, double majors, three
undergraduate minors, a
graduate degree, and
combined bachelor’s + master’s degree programs in Secondary Education, International Studies, and Journalism. Undergraduate majors may select one of four concentrations: Standard, Pre-Law, Public History, or Secondary Education.

Double Majors
The degree in Computer Science and History helps students gain the technical expertise of a computer scientist and the methodological training of a historian. This combination is valuable in fields like database management and historical research that uses computing power or computational thinking.

Minor in Museum Studies
The department is proud to be part of the minor in Museum Studies. Museum Studies is an interdisciplinary endeavor that addresses the theory, organization, and management of museums and museum collections. Museums themselves are complex organizations within which a diversity of knowledge specialists work together to acquire, conserve, research, communicate and exhibit tangible and intangible evidence of people and their environment.
