College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences > Academics > Modern Languages > Undergraduate > Italian (BA) > Combined Degree Program
The combined Bachelor's + Master's degree programs allow students to complete 12 graduate credit hours while still undergraduates. These 12 graduate credit hours will count toward both the undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
The program requires 48 quarter hour credits of coursework. This coursework consists of:
12-quarter hour credits of required courses:
36-quarter hour credits of elective coursework, specifically relevant to each individual student's professional interests and language, and chosen in consultation with the student's faculty advisor.
The required courses (MOL 401, MOL 402, and MOL 496) are each worth 4-quarter hour credits. Elective courses may vary in credit. Because each student pursues a highly customized selection of coursework, it may include independent study, practicum, study abroad, or transfer credits that allow students to complete in any term additional credits toward satisfaction of degree requirements. Depending on individual interests, a student may (with approval of their advisor) also take as electives courses taught in English by other DePaul units, provided that the students satisfy any relevant prerequisites for those courses.
