Graduate Assistantships

The Sustainable Urban Development program offers graduate assistantships, each of which provides up to a full tuition waiver of four graduate-level courses required for the degree and a stipend of up to $4000. In addition, DePaul offers student health insurance and various types of leave.

Primary responsibilities of the graduate assistantship, which requires approximately 10 hours per week, include the following:

  • Research assistance to faculty
  • Instructional support to students in GIS courses
  • Attendance at departmental co-curricular events
