The Center for Black Diaspora at DePaul University hosts its inaugural short film festival virtually between February and March (exact dates to be determined). This festival is aimed at unearthing emerging Black filmmakers who have narrative, documentary, animation or experimental films that explore diverse themes as it relates to the Black experience in the United States and around the world.

Eligibility Requirements
Shorts must be no more than 20 minutes in length, credits included. If selected, shorts must be available for projection in formats for easy streaming. All non-English-language shorts must have English subtitles.
Remuneration
Each filmmaker will be paid an honorarium and be required to make themselves available for a post-screening discussion and Q&A.
