The Importance of Internships

Internships during college provide students with rich learning experiences and professional connections, broadened understanding of the connection between the classroom and the larger world, and enhanced career outcomes. The College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences encourages undergraduate and graduate students to take advantage of these experiential learning opportunities as often as their degree programs will allow.

Internships can be completed for academic credit through your major or minor, as well as through the University Internship Program. Non-credit-bearing internships are also possible.
