Applied Diplomacy (MA)

Applied Diplomacy (MA)

Build bridges across boundaries of difference

The Master of Applied Diplomacy program is built on the conversation between traditional and non-traditional approaches to the field of diplomacy. By studying each, students will become familiar with the nomenclature of diplomatic studies, global relations, international political economy, and sustainable international development in the service of exploring six possible concentrations.

The work of diplomacy is not limited to members of the foreign service. Many of the roles of modern diplomacy are practiced by members of non-governmental organizations, business people, scientists, and community organizers. The Applied Diplomacy MA program is designed to serve the needs of those who aim to promote community formation, bridge building and conflict resolution across multiple boundaries of difference in multiple vocational contexts.
