Awards & Recognitions

For nearly twenty years, the Department of Geography & GIS, has sent 2-to-4 junior and senior GEO majors to the national meeting of the American Association of Geographers (AAG), typically held in the Spring at an urban location in the U.S. Awardees are voted upon by the department faculty. Our ability to make this opportunity available is made possible by generous funding from alumnus, Betty Leahy, whose endowment to the department has introduced DePaul GEO & GIS students to the breadth and depth of Geography at its most acclaimed international meeting.
