Courses should be selected with the consent of the student’s Geography faculty advisor.
A student completing an Urban Geography and Planning minor is eligible to simultaneously complete a GIS Certificate. No more than TWO courses from the Urban Geography and Planning Minor can also be applied to the undergraduate GIS Certificate. A student wishing to complete an Urban Geography and Planning minor and an undergraduate GIS Certificate will complete a minimum of 8 Geography courses. Please see a faculty adviser in the Department of Geography for further details.
Approved GIS Certificate Courses include GEO 241, 242, 243, 343 through 349, 391. Additional GIS courses (e.g., Special Topics; GEO 395) may be approved by the Chair of the Department of Geography & GIS
