Susan Jacobs

Susan Jacobs is the Associate Director of the Interdisciplinary Self-Designed Program. She has taught at DePaul since 1981, first in English, then in WRD, now in the Honors Program. Jacobs has worked with ISD since 2004, where she provides academic advisement for graduate interdisciplinary students, oversees program administration, and oversees print and online representation for the program.

Susan Jacobs actively participates in the Aldo Leopold Foundation, earning her “Land Ethics Leadership” designation (2011) and presenting at the Aldo Leopold Annual Conference, UW Baraboo, in 2015 and 2017 on “Teaching A Sand County Almanac to Urban College Students” and contributing to the Leopold Foundation Blog.

In addition to her work at DePaul, Jacobs has free lanced as a corporate writer and communications trainer, and has authored several textbooks for Rand McNally and Scott Foresman publishing companies.
