Graduate Assistantships

​The Department of International Studies offers graduate assistantships, each of which provides up to a full tuition waiver of six graduate-level courses required for the degree and a stipend of up to $8000. In addition, DePaul offers student health insurance​ and various types of leave​.

Primary responsibilities of the graduate assistantship, which requires approximately 10-15 hours per week include the following:

  • Research associated with curriculum development,
  • developing academic instructional materials,
  • tutoring,
  • writing support for undergraduate students,
  • other instructional support services,
  • assisting with annual conferences hosted by the International Studies Department
  • support projects with department staff/faculty as assigned.

Hours and Schedule:
Approximately 10-15 hours per week, not including summer and holidays. 25-50% of weekly hours should be completed in the INT office, or in other campus locations (such as when working with students on their writing). Remainder of hours can be completed from home.
