Refugee and forced migration study is a complex field, requiring interdisciplinary perspectives and approaches. Our coursework draws from expertise in international relations, public health, historical records, laws and streamlining program evaluations to best equip our students for their unique fields. Thanks to our outstanding faculty, the Refugee & Forced Migration Studies Graduate Program at DePaul University engages students in a rigorous, dynamic curriculum, enabling our graduates to more effectively respond to the needs of refugees and forcibly displaced migrants at the local, national, and international levels,.

Our students take courses across a number of colleges, giving them a broad based education and skills that are relevant and easily transferable. Moreover, Chicago is one of the largest hubs for fieldwork related to refugees and forced migration.
