Faculty Summer Research Grant (FSRG)
The Faculty Summer Research Grant (FSRG) program is a highly competitive program administered by the LAS Dean's Office and adjudicated by the College Research Committee. The FSRG provides salary stipends and funding for additional expenses to tenure-line faculty for projects undertaken in the summer following submission of the application. A complete application includes a statement from the applicant’s chair or director, due one week following the application deadline. Faculty are expected to send in a brief report of their research accomplishments at the end of summer. Previous FSRG recipients are identified
here.
The Summer 2025 FSRG application period opens Friday, September 6, 2024 and closes on October 2, 2024.
Applicants are encouraged to review the Guidelines, available below, in their entirety well before the deadline and to alert their chair or director of their intention to apply well before submission. The link to the submission form is included at the end of the Guidelines.

Late-Stage Research Grant (LSRG)
The Late-Stage Research Grant (LSRG) is a highly competitive program administered by the LAS Dean’s Office and adjudicated by the College Research Committee. It is designed to support research projects undertaken by tenure-line faculty that are verifiably accepted for imminent publication and lack only final requirements necessitating paid clerical assistance. In this way, the LSRG funds projects that the FSRG does not. Applications for the LSRG may be submitted at any point during the calendar year; however, program funding is very limited. Potential applicants are strongly encouraged to apply as soon as they meet expectations explained in the guidelines, available below.
See the guidelines for instructions on how to apply. Previous LSRG recipients are identified
