The Faculty Summer Research Grant (FSRG) program is a highly competitive program administered by the LAS College Research Committee. The FSRG provides salary stipends and funding for additional expenses to tenure-line faculty for projects undertaken in the summer following submission of the application. A complete application includes a letter of recommendation from the applicant’s department chair or program director, due one week following the application deadline. Faculty are expected to send in a brief report of their research accomplishments at the end of summer. Previous FSRG recipients are identified
The window for 2021 FSRG applications is open, with a firm deadline of October 13, 2020.
Applicants are encouraged to review the Guidelines, available below, in their entirety well before the deadline and to alert their chair or director of their intention to apply well before submission.
Please note: this year, FSRG applications will be processed via Interfolio. Faculty members whose experience with Interfolio is limited are very strongly encouraged to review the submission process in advance. The link to apply for the grant should be accessible in each eligible faculty member’s Task List on their Interfolio home page, accessible from the link below.

The Undergraduate Research Assistant Program (URAP) grant provides funding for undergraduate students to assist and collaborate with faculty members who conduct research projects or are engaged in creative and scholarly activities during the regular academic year and/or summer.The window for URAP applications is closed at this time. It will reopen for winter/spring 2021 applications in late summer for 2020.
