Students have the option of requesting an exception to
undergraduate academic policy via this form, which gets reviewed by an
associate dean.
The entire process – from submission to decision – may take up to two
weeks. Students should discuss this option with their assigned academic
department faculty/staff advisor or a Undergraduate College Office academic advisor
prior to submitting a request.
Application for Petition for Exception to Policy
Most policy
exceptions pertain to the Liberal Studies Program (e.g., course substitutions,
requirement waivers). The preferred route for such exception petitions is
through the Liberal
Studies Program.
Requests for late or retroactive withdrawals from courses should be submitted directly to LASRegistration@depaul.edu
