Tristan Bove

Tristan Bove, Class of 2020

Congratulations to Tristan Bove (INT '20) who was just accepted into the Peace Corps to teach English in one of three remote areas in China!  INT's emphasis on intensive second language study (he double majored in Chinese Studies) has prepared Tristan very well for the PC experience. While at DePaul, he spent two years and two subsequent summers in China studying, working, and traveling. As a dual citizen of the US and Italy, with homes in both countries, Tristan knows first-hand how hard it is to learn a second language well.

Tristan has done a lot of really interesting volunteer work, including coaching and mentoring over 40 junior athletes belonging to high school and middle school rowing teams.  He also volunteers bimonthly with DePaul University's Habitat for Humanity chapter, which has allowed him to help with building projects located mostly on Chicago's South Side and to recruit others into Habitat.
