Al Stonitsch - Village Administrator, Village of Woodridge

Al currently Al was appointed Village Administrator for the Village of Woodridge, Illinois in August 2017.  In his role, Al is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day municipal operations, and reports directly to the Mayor and Board of Trustees.  Prior to Woodridge, Al was the Assistant Village Manager with the Village of Glen Ellyn from 2013 to 2017, where he was responsible for overseeing the Village’s human resources functions, as well as oversight of the Facilities Maintenance, Information Technology, Communications, and Senior Services Divisions.  Before Glen Ellyn, Al was employed with the Village of Glenview, where he served in a variety of leadership capacities during his 12+ year tenure, including Human Resources Director, Deputy Director of Public Works, Assistant to the Village Manager, and Administrative Intern.  Al obtained his B.A. in History from Marquette University, and his M.S. in Public Service Management (Class of ‘04) from DePaul University.  Al is an active member of the International (Illinois) City/County Managers Association (ICMA/ILCMA), and is also a member of the Woodridge chapter of Rotary International. ​
