About Internships

Internships offer DePaul Sociology students real world experience in their chosen field of study. Working directly with a variety of not-for-profit, government, and corporate organizations, the Sociology Internship Program creates internship opportunities for eligible students in the following areas: health and human services, law and criminal justice, urban and culturally related fields.  Sociology interns have successfully worked within these organizations in various capacities including research, policy, advocacy, program development and evaluation, case management, counseling, fundraising and planning special events.

Students are concurrently enrolled in Sociology 398 or 498 while participating in their internship—this creates an integrated experience.

A current list of internship opportunities is sent via email to all active sociology students. If you find that you are not currently receiving these emails, or wish to sign up for our newsletter, please send us an email with your name, and student ID number, and your year in the program. These emails can be sent to socinternships@depaul.edu
