​​Throughout the year, CWCIT offers numerous lectures, panel discussions and other events for students, faculty/staff and the broader community. Each spring, CWCIT hosts World Catholicism Week, a celebration of the globally interdependent dimensions of the Catholic experience of faith at DePaul, in Chicago and around the world. As of September 2022, the center has also hosted a total of 6 conferences overseas (in the Philippines, Nigeria, and Kenya), including the one pictured below.

CWCIT colloquium, July 2017 in Nairobi
JULY 2017 (Nairobi)—Some 40 African Catholic scholars and CWCIT staff met at the Hekima Institute for Peace Studies & International Relations (HIPSIR) for a colloquium to discuss the first drafts of a new publication, THE HANDBOOK OF AFRICAN CATHOLICISM. A road map for scholars, the HANDBOOK covers some of the most pressing and pertinent issues in diverse fields of African Catholicism studies. In June 2022, this landmark volume was published by Orbis Books.
