Take a Course

Non-degree Enrollment

Working professionals and others with a bachelor’s degree may apply to take up to three School of Public Service (SPS) courses on a non-degree basis. The courses can then be applied to a graduate degree in SPS if the student applies and is admitted to the program.

Most courses are offered in the evening – one evening each week from 5:45 to 9:00 pm – at DePaul’s Loop Campus.

The application process for non-degree students is very easy. Simply submit the online application and a bachelor’s transcript. Typically, an admission decision will be sent by email within two business days of our receiving your application and transcript.

The School of Public Service accepts non-degree students for all terms. Interested students should submit the application and transcripts as soon as possible.

Notes about submitting the online application:

  1. Choose the "Graduate – Degree/Non-degree" application
  2. When "creating" the application, choose the "College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences." Later, when prompted to select a program from the alphabetical program list, choose, “Non-degree”
  3. Official electronic transcripts should be sent directly from the issuing institution to graddepaul@depaul.edu. Paper official transcripts should be mailed to:
