Founded in 1993, the
Chaddick Institute for Metropolitan Development is located on DePaul University's Loop Campus in Downtown Chicago.
Chaddick offers students and professionals in planning, design, and development a forum to network and share expertise on urban planning issues through events, study trips, workshops, and research. A diverse array of publications and books on planning and transportation topics have been produced by Chaddick researchers, and the institute is regularly
quoted by national news organizations. Learn more about our staff here.
In recent years, the institute has hosted educational events in cooperation with the Illinois Chapter of the American Planning Association, the High Speed Rail Alliance, Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, Lambda Alpha International, DePaul's Real Estate Center, Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, Scenic Illinois and other organizations. There are a number of opportunities for students to
get involved with current planning and development projects.
The Chaddick Institute also works closely with consultancies and professional organizations who sponsor our extensive programs and event series during the academic year.

Parking: Parking is available in lots on Wabash Avenue, or in less expensive lots located south of the Congress Expressway.
